What do I know about Penn State Football? Only that I’ve been following Joe Pa and team for over 30 years, that’s what! And let me tell you something, next year will be special in 2011.
The key is: Youth
Penn State in 2010 is the youngest team Joe Paterno ever fielded. Next year they will almost all come back and still be undergrads. Youth and speed will be served in 2011.
Key players are: Matt McGloin, the walk-on quarterback that will bring more experience and his already considerable moxy and field generalship back to the grid iron. Robert Bolden, who started the year at quarterback will be there to compete for starting quarterback.
Derek Moye, the lanky wide receiver with excellent hands will be there to provide the deep threat along with several other receivers. At running back, freshman sensation Silas Redd will make his presence felt behind a maturing offensive line.
On the defense, the D-line will be returning with much more experience and hopefully, less injuries in the beginning of the season. As always, the Penn State Linebackers of ‘Linebacker U’ will be a force to be reckoned with.
