Vote Everyone Out Come Fall. It’s all we can do, and we can do it America!

A Dear friend just sent this to me, so simple, so powerful:

Hello, this is something I have felt compelled to write for some time and so I finally did.  Please take a moment to read this message and contemplate the magnitude of the impact you can make.

Our political system is completely corrupt, manipulated by career politicians and special interest money.  The sole purpose of these career politicians is to keep themselves in office, while enriching their personal wealth and that of the special interests who put (and keep) them there.  As long as special interest money continues to flow through Washington, things will never change.  And as long as the foxes are guarding the hen-house, you can rest assured the inflow of money will not stop.  Every once in a while some legislation is written to give the impression that something is being done, but don’t be fooled, this is mere window dressing.  Loop-holes are always embedded within the thousands of pages of legalese to ensure that the money can legally continue to flow in.

We have the power and we can change this country now – simply vote every incumbent out of office this November.  There is no liberal or conservative bias here, only a non-partisan grass-roots effort to reclaim our country.  There are a number of extremely powerful men and women in Congress who control how all their less senior colleagues vote.  I’m sure that after every election there is a batch of freshman who arrive in Washington with good intentions but learn very quickly that if they oppose the power structure (those career politicians and special interests), they will be marginalized and voted out of office after their first term; and so they sell their souls to the devil in the interest of self-preservation.

Just imagine, with a whole new political body of equals (President, Congress, Governors, Mayors etc.), the chains will be removed and wheels will be set in motion for true change.

I’m begging you to please consider this simple approach to taking our country back.  There is no other way – except revolution.  How many more years of rhetoric and partisan politics do we need to go through before we realize nothing is ever going to change.  If you believe your representatives are actually interested in your best interests over theirs, you are sadly mistaken.

I would love nothing more than to see this email reach every inbox in America.  If you are happy with the current political system, then delete this email.  However, if you feel like I do, please take the time to forward this to everyone you know.  If we continue to be a society of complacent sheep, then we deserve exactly what we get.

I have included an incredibly insightful article below from 1787 that offers a sobering perspective on the state of our democracy.

THE FALL OF THE ATHENIAN REPUBLIC
Historic | 1787 | Alexander Tyler

At about the time our original 13 states adopted their new constitution in 1787, Alexander Tyler – a Scottish history professor at the University of Edinburgh – had this to say about “The Fall of the Athenian Republic” some 2,000 years prior:

THE FALL OF THE ATHENIAN REPUBLIC… “A democracy is always temporary in nature; it simply cannot exist as a permanent form of government. A democracy will continue to exist up until the time that voters discover that they can vote themselves generous gifts from the public treasury. From that moment on, the majority always votes for the candidates who promise the most benefits from the public treasury, with the result that every democracy will finally collapse over loose fiscal policy, (which is) always followed by a dictatorship.”

“The average age of the world’s greatest civilizations from the beginning of history, has been about 200 years. During those 200 years, these nations always progressed through the following sequence:

From bondage to spiritual faith; From spiritual faith to great courage; From courage to liberty; From liberty to abundance, From abundance to complacency; From complacency to apathy, From apathy to dependence, From dependence back into bondage.”
