Greetings from 2019 Richard Uzelac!

It’s been over five years since I updated this blog. A lot has happened during these five years, too much to list here, so I’ve decided to go over changes to how I see the world going.

When I last posted here I was enduring the second term of Barack Obama in the White House. As a person, I look back upon him with contempt as a ‘unifier’ of the country. Obama divided this country a great deal and handed off that divided country to President Donald Trump.

Obama Years

It’s been over five years since I updated this blog. A lot has happened during these five years, too much to list here, so I’ve decided to go over changes to how I see the world going.

When I last posted here I was enduring the second term of Barack Obama in the White House as I mentioned in this blog back in 2015. I now look back upon him disappointment, and a divisive force in the country. Obama divided this country a great deal and handed off that divided country to President Donald Trump.

Under Obama I felt a growing racial divide in America. Where police and the military had been respected by all previous presidents; under Obama law enforcement agencies were ridiculed as anti-black (even if the officers were black) and the military was a waste of money.

I voted for Obama for his first term.  He was smooth and smart and I had hope! Within a year Richard Uzelac became dismayed at the ‘Hope and Change’ he brought to the country. I thought he would be a unifying force for all Americans, partially because he was half white and half black. How great is that? He would be the perfect person to unite us. Boy was I wrong.

Trump Time

We saw the Left moving further and further to authoritarianism and socialism/communism under Obama.  Middle America saw it too and elected Donald J. Trump to stop the madness. And for this conservative/small government kinda guy, I saw it too. Richard Uzelac voted for President Trump and enjoyed the media and leftist meltdown on Election Day (and every day since) immensely.

Well it has been about two and a half years since the election and folks, things have gone crazy! I would guessed the democrats in the nation would have been upset, but I would have expected them to accept it and move on, much like all us conservatives did when Obama was reelected. That didn’t happen.

Bolstered by Social Media the Far-Left extremists protested in the streets, at public universities conservatives were silenced, and sometimes attacked. The media, 90% of them, go after Donald Trump and what he stands for. I’ve never seen anything like this in my lifetime,” said Richard Uzelac

How Do We ALL Move Forward? | Richard Uzelac

“So what’s a country to do? Debate! Talk! Discuss. Vote. Conservatives and Leftists need to talk and form some commonality if we are to survive as a Constitutional Republic.  We should be seeing debates in Universities and online and TV. We should mature enough to stop defining people by their identity politics and see people as individuals that, as Dr. Jordan Peterson says, ‘might know something you don’t know.”

I fear if we don’t become civil, we will lose our civilization.

Best Regards, Richard Uzelac
